ok been trying to upload my vis to a few sites today, google video/youtube/gametrailers (+ a couple of others) all were crap eg heres the youtube version of one link(thats best quality) ill post a link to the original in a couple of days (that im forced to host myself since none of the free services are up to the task)10 september 2007
the 29 films i watched in august ( quite a few good ones watch though der untergang would be the standout film )| poirot - after the funeral | 6 | pretty good whodoneit, which i didnt guess (should of though) |
| wrong turn | 5 | standard cliché film of kids meet a bunch of homicidal hillbillys |
| walace and gromit curse of the were-rabbit | 8 | enjoyable film certainly heaps better than chicken run |
| alien vs predator | 5 | lived up to my expectations which were pretty low |
| emma | 7 | took a while to get into but certainly worth a look (better than the book) |
| red eye | 5 | quite a bit different than i thought it would be, second half petters out |
| the searchers | 4 | rated as one of the best westerns ever, personally i thought it was pretty shite |
| Boia scarlatto, Il (bloody pit of horror) | 3 | must be seen to be belived |
| superman returns | 4 | yawn |
| james and the giant peach | 7 | apart from the songs this is a great family film |
| nine lives (2002) | 5 | surprisingly paris hilton wasnt the worst actress in this, actually this horror aint as bad as ppl say |
| population 436 | 6 | reasonable horror not very suspensfal though |
| grizzly falls | 7 | quite a good 'disneyesk' film |
| the simpsons movie | 6 | couldnt live up to the hype, impossible task really |
| broken flowers | 3 | not as bad as lost in translation the ending was pretty good though |
| dead birds | 4 | looks like the read the book of how to make a horror + followed it to the letter, kids with long hair covering the face (check), looking into a dark area + something grabs u (check), monsters with munch mouth (check), person lets out sigh of relief by window + then face appears there (check), all accomplnied by the standard horror soundtrack |
| open water | 8 | good film made on a small budget |
| the hills have eyes (2006) | 6 | unlike texas chainsaw massacre this is essentually a remake of the 1977 film (departs a bit in the middle), though not as good overall its definitly a worthwhile remake |
| catch that kid | 3 | billed on the cover, as spykids meets ... , dont know why theyld write that cause spykids was crap |
| piorot – the hollow | 5 | ok manner to pass 90minutes |
| grandma | 6 | doco about grandma the oldish observed albatross still breeding in her 60s |
| the wicker man (2006) | 4 | actually not as bad as its portrayed, what with the golden raspberry nominations etc |
| the last horror movie | 8 | series 7 meets man bites dog, hmmm not as good as series 7 (better though than MBD which is overrated, though still good) |
| the hazing (dead scared) | 6 | better than i thought, a homage to evil dead (noticed they had a photo of bruce in there) |
| millennium actress | 5 | not as good as it aspires to be |
| transamerica | 7 | worthwhile watch, ppl rave about the actress pretending to be a man acting as a woman, whilst good it wasnt the best performance of the year |
| assault on precinct 13 (2005) | 3 | not as good as the original, though the premise makes a bit more sense than the original |
| poirot - The Mystery of the Blue Train | 4 | elliot gould was fucken terrible, the worst acting ive seen for months |
| der untergang | 9 | prolly the best war film ever made |

as promised here are the ingame videos from the second stage set inside the alien spaceship, videos had to be captured in 30sec bursts since fraps only lets u record 30sec at a time
basically it highlights the dodge the bullets part of shumps, movement is a bit jerky since im controlling the player with a mouse (ie cheating)

watched scoresses doco on dylan called dont look back, a lot focuses on the fans rejecting him when he went electric, i believe a lot of the hate came not from the fact that he played electric + with a backing band, but due to the fact that 'the band' were just so terrible, their style consists of either playing or not playing theres no subtulty in their style, incredimly ameaturish1 october 2007
the 31 films i watched in september ( the descent is one of the best horrors in recent memory )| the sea inside | 8 | excellent acting by the main fella, normally playing someone with a disabilty is an easy way to get an award but here he desrves it |
| vera drake | 5 | award winning film about abortion, won only cause of the subject matter |
| ice age 2 | 4 | gets an extra point for not having any songs |
| united 93 | 8 | far better than i thought, also due to the fact that 2 of the guys who rushed the cabin were rugby players its prolly done more to promote rugby in the US than anything else |
| goodbye pork pie | 3 | the bad old days of nz film in the 70s a few sucesses but a lot of clunkers like this |
| troll | 4 | been wanting to watch this + the sequal for ages with 2 characters called harry potter and harry potter jr how could it fail, great laugh to watch |
| troll 2 | 1 | this + the first are cult films appearing in my worst films of all time lists, this one would be one of the worst 5 films ive ever seen |
| the descent | 9 | easily one of the best horrors of the last decade, the 'evil' creatures were a bit of let down though |
| iron monkey | 7 | good action film |
| species | 5 | corny film, bummer theres a sequel it didnt warrant one |
| cujo | 7 | well made |
| it happened one night | 6 | clark gable is always good, just looking at his clown face always lightens the scene |
| thunderbird 6 | 3 | speaking as a thunderbirds fan this was terrible |
| crackerjack | 8 | great ozzie family comedy film |
| shaolin prince | 8 | some of the best weapon fights played on film, allround excellent kungfu film |
| shocker | 4 | the king of horrors remaking this, why? sure todays cgi will improve some aspects but face it its not the gratest plot |
| children of men | 8 | better than the book, clive was his typical wooden self |
| as it is in heaven | 9 | whats makes this a great film, is that it keeps on without halt, until the last 15 minutes in salzburg (though that can be excused, ie relax after the run) |
| the phantom | 3 | a superhero film that equalled the quality of the strips |
| monster house | 5 | technically perhaps the best cgi cartoon, far to scary for a kids film though |
| mission impossible-3 | 5 | totally unbeliveable stuff, but an ok action flick to while away time |

| children of the corn | 6 | i remember watching this as a kid ( so must of made an impression ), cornfields are now a staple part of horrors, like a lot of 70/80s R18 horror films it would be PG today (though perhaps the reason was they didnt want to give kids bad ideas about rising up + killing the olds :) ) |

the reason it didnt come off was, how many in the current WC all-black team were the best in the world in their position?, perhaps 2 or 3 out of the 15, now tell me is that realistically the basis of a team that can thrash any of the other teams by 20+ points, like has been oft spoken about in the past few months.

saw all the 'handups' candidates got into the local council elections (like i predicted), the handups candidate became the mayor as well btw, just shows you lotsa advertising with empty slogans does work. i might stand next timeill fill my billboards with crap like

hearing about waiuku college in the last 2 days on the national program, about the ingrained violence at that school, some kid got his jaw smashed recently + at the start of this year a kid got beaten up, now this kid was a child of someone i went to school with, i went to his house a couple of times when i was young, wow when i hear such a thing it strikes me shit he must of been doing the whole raising a family buzz in the teens, contrast this with me leaving home at 16 + drifting around since like forever. focusing on the unfocusable.09 november 2007
tongan ninja was prolly the hi-light of the month| when a stranger calls | 2 | half the film is spent with the main character on the phone, a yawnfest of bad acted crap |

| coogans bluff | 3 | has dated extremely badly, clint must of done his own motorbike riding, as theres one scene where he accidentilty crashes the bike (which is quickly cut) |

| mission to mars | 5 | the music alone is worth a couple of points, the best theme ive heard for years, ha just looked up it was by the greatest (by far) of all film scorers(?) morricone, he finally won the oscar last year, just proves what a joke the oscars are |
| casino royale | 4 | from what i had heard i didnt have high expectations, but it was far worse than i thought, daniel craig was choosen cause they wanted a younger bond yet he looks older than bronson btw whats up with his continual pouting |
| the adventures of rocky and bullwinkle | 4 | bad in parts, de niros acting was terrible (then again he was always overrated) |
| darkness falls (2003) | 5 | ok the powers out so how could they use the elevator, full of horror cliches but i still quite liked it, im ashamed to say |
