09 december 2007
my new email address is zed(at)zedzeek.com, the last one just got to much spam, i dreaded checking it, only checking it once a month or so, if anyone wrote to 'thedude' in the last few months theres a high chance i missed your email amongst all the 'u too can have a larger penis' ads
10 december 2007
seeing the leader of the main opposition is in nelson today, on a pamphlet they write, "50 by 50 (reducing carbon emission 50% by 2050)"..... wow 43 years time (when X number of goverments will have come + gone) + most of the current politicians will be dead. in that generous spirit im promising to create world peace by 2050.
09 december 2007
rewatching the omen again after all the years was the hilight of the month, now if only i can find the sequels
the ant bully 5 not to bad apart from the moralizing, WTF do heaps of kid films have this crap
Foo gwai lit che (shanghai express) 8 a great mismash hippy biker gangster cowboy spy samurai film, starring + directed by sammo hung
titan ae 6 reasonable sci fi cartoon though i didnt enjoy it that much
bondi tsunami 1 an auusie experimental film gone horribly wrong
the blair witch project 7 not as scary as i thought it would be
peter pan 7 good fun cartoon one of disneys best, certain parts are pretty racist like a lot of disney 'family values' stuff
sasquatch (the untold) 2 terrible editing, as well as being slow as fuck + they didnt even really show the monster which shows they didnt have much faith in the effects
walking with beasts 6 reasonable cgi but all (most ) closeups are done with handpuppets
nacho libre 7 jack black makes this film (like he does with practically all films he plays in) of course he will never win an oscar cause hes got a rep for playing in the wrong sort of film, on the back it saiz JACK BLACK 'NACHO LIBRE' PETER STORMARE (no other names), the thing it pete has a bit part, onscreen time wouldnt be in the top20 yet hes theres his name
wendigo 3 very slow film, not really a horror (pace only started to pick up in the last 30mins), i didnt really understand in the end at the hospital where the nurse after the husband dies saiz to the wife im sorry there was nothing we could do, + then give her his shoes as if to say (bugger about your husband but look on the bright side at least we managed to save his shoes)
darkness falls 1999 2 a waste of film
red water 3 not as bad as some ppl make it out to be
poirot – cards on the table 6 standard poirot fare
bugsy malone 7 well made some good songs as well
noi the albino 3 predicatble ending, good to see iceland though (ok to live for a year but no more)
telladega nights 6 just a collection of one line gags, entertaining though
the adventures of milo and otis 7 amazing animal training not recommended if u dont like animals, a brown bear vs a kitten
the locals 7 good kiwi horror, predictable twist but that doesnt detract to much
paperback hero 5 man i hate this by the books crap
off the rails 6 doco about nz rail (or lack of), not to good
40 year old virgin 6 certainly not the best comedy of the year like some say
rocky 2 7 more corny but yet even better than the first film
anchorman 6 didnt like it as much as i should of
the omen 9 this was the first ever horror i saw ~20 years ago + fuck rewatching it now u couldnt ask for a better introduction, even gregory peck was good
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning 4 the sheriff was great, apart from that the film was a letdown
blue velvet 7 staring dennis hooper, one of the best actors ever (he doesnt get enuf praise)

15 december 2007
redemption, spine-tingling, the final piece of wagners final opera, the choirs a bit weak though here.
25 december 2007
noticed a couple of dutch words in an english book i was reading last night, strand + spoor.
thats 3 dutch words beginning with s that occasiononaly occur in english.
strand - beach. spoor - trail. stoop - footpath/sidewalk.
30 december 2007
kicking myself for not investing in the west indies to win the test against SA (they were paying $6.50 after the first day when WI were ~300 runs), i was very tempted at the time, but betting involves a walk to the bookies (+ often i cant be bothered)
03 january 2008
best for last, a fitting film WRT the time of year, 36 films watched in the month
wild at heart 8 a great love story, lynch has never been better
the lost boys 6 a slice of the 80s
red dragon 8 the best acting ive seen from ralph fiennes, hannibal wasnt even really in the film
soulkepper 8 great camp horror
childs play 2 3 oh chucky, what a bad idea for a horror 'evil guy'
kenny 6 moco about the aussie toilet business, could have been much better considering the subject matter
the iron giant 8 hollywood take of a miyazaki film
jane and the dragon 4 nz cgi series about a girl + a dragon, weta helped but the cgi is crap
dreamer 6 predictable girl with horse tale, reasonable though esp for the genre
harry potter and the goblet of fire 4 the worst of the series so far, the battle of good vs evil but it focuses on the smallest things (like starwars 1+2)
happy feet 6 perhaps the best cgi to date, terrible moralizing + the music is so so but didnt iritate me as much as simliar films do, i cant keep up with the number of hollywood cartoons that come out nowadays
an inconvenient truth 8 far better than i thought, (i heard it was just a powerpoint show, which it largely was, but it was very effective)
more great comedy moments 5 collection of english tv comedy from the last 30 years, filthy rich + catflap was the hilight, 'anyone wanna stroke my pussy'
the terminal 4 tom hanks == shit film, dont know A/ he chooses shit films or he makes good/average films shit
fright night 5 seen many years ago, looked up one of the actors on IMDB + hes now a gay porn star
midsomer murders – the killings at badgers drift 6 the mother and son were the best things in it
midsomer murders – written in blood 5 not really setting a tone for a good film series
the de vinci code 5 i wonder what the book was like, cause the film was hmmm so so
a tale of two cities (1980) 5 reasonable tv film
shaky beginnings 3 doco about nz geology,
the rescuers 7 seen this before recently ~3yrs ago, but still ok for a rewatch
the gate 7 excellent effects considering the budget/age played as a very straight horror, works very well. i recommend this film for horror makers to watch. eyes in the palms like pans labryithm. endings not the best though
arsenic and old lace 7 decent comedy for a film > 50 years old, still just shows how bad films used to be
matilda 8 great ronald dahl film directed + stars danny de vito (whos always good )
dreamgirls 3 the music was crap, the singing was crap, the acting was crap (except for eddie murphy) yet jenifer hudson won an oscar, go figure
michael king – history man 5 i read 'history of nz' piece of crap
dirty rotten scoundrels 3 should have been much better
the devil wears prada 3 weak film
midsomer murders – death of a hollow man 7 best in the series so far
midsomer murders – faithful unto death 5 by the numbers whodoneit
damien omen 2 5 a let down after the first film
the queen 7 blair reminded me of alan b'stard
night at the museum 7 bubblegum fodder, the sort of film that u wanna see in the cinema
frenzy 5 meant to be hitchcocks best latter film i cant see it though
they crawl 4 blown the budget in the first minute ( i thought this was a low budget film, guess not ), not sure what its doing in the horror section as well
its a wonderful life 9 this should be the annual christmas film + not 'the sound of music/chitty chitty bang bang etc'

06 january 2008
some good free classical music can be gotten from here, www.classiccat.net/ the only downside is due to most of it been recorded + hosted by the ppl that recorded it the applause goes on overlong, ie 2-3 minutes, reliving the adulation in the living room
07 janurary 2008
went down to kaikoura to watch the whales over the new year, the patch in the front of my shirt is vomit (first time ive been sick on a boat + i used to own a yacht!!! until it sank :), never sailed it though, the sail was a prick to get up on rough seas)

10 january 2008
benizi butto's son has now been made co-leader of the party, what sort of bullshit is that, there should be laws against direct descendants being able to stand for office / same with spouses ie hilary clinton sorry no show. look at the state of america with GwBush jr in office,
24 january 2008
comparrision of dvd vs blu-ray, a much larger difference than i thought, no wonder actors are not to clean on the format (it makes all the wrinkles, blemishes etc harder to hide)

27 january 2008
rewatching the descent again, (6th time ive watched a film which is prolly a record) its very close to perfection. at the start on the boat, the interplay with juno + the guy (+ the other girl that notices, ie the latent sexual desires), then into the hospital with the lights going out the impending darkness. i think the mistake ppl make with this film is they come in thinking its a horror film where its in fact its not its primarly a phychological journey for some horror elements. the music is like a bruckner symphony as in 'nothing happens' but really its nothing happens fast, its an evolution, the last 15 minutes are perhaps the best musicical scoring ive heard in a film
28 january 2008
all the talks about the next president of the US being barak or hilary personaly to me since 6 months ive been picking maccain to be the most likely one to succeed bush.
31 january 2008
noticed this story today, thats the suburb i live in, i was asleep at the time so didnt notice anything. apt timing though, as what i hear about on the radio recently is youth crime, random violence attacks, 10 murders so far this year etc. now for the last 20 years nz has been one of the most violent western countries, here in the south island though, its a lot less prevalent than the north island. what to do about it? hard one, its plain though that neither of the two main politcal parties have got any ideas. based on what ive heard in the last 2 days, nationals 'stick them in army style training' (which has been tried before + failed), labours raising the school/training leaving age to 18. which like the national policy is gonna make no difference.
31 january 2008
i always like the 4-5pm slot on radio national, it should be at least 1.5hrs, ie sticking the extra news + the mountain report /road report in the hour is not a good idea. anyways back on track, they had gary maccormack on today, now hes gotta be one of the best guests (chris trotter is another that springs to mind), these are the guys that resonate, these are the guys that should be having inut into running nz. btw u have compassionate conservatism whats the leftish version, pragmatic liberalism
06 febuary 2008
WTF does windows calculator program have no sqrt function!!!!
06 february 2008
ppl lamet that theres no patriot expression during aotearoa's national day, ie bugger all sticking up of flags etc. + in fact waitangi day is more a day of protest, its become a circus act (all such days anywhere in the world are anyway). but i say yeehaw, who wants to hear boring old songs/see flags flying. ild much rather see mud being thrown, hairy asses being shown, abuse being hurled, or like a couple of years ago when a protester with a shotgun shot the nz flag before the primeminister (and got off scottfree), just try that in the states!,
ie on the 4th of july shoot the american flag whilst bush jr is in attendance, u can guess what will happen. now i ask you what country would u prefer to live in :), on the subject of american politicians, the 'most exciting election in decades' is a dreary yawnfest. the political system in the US needs a major overhaul to bring into into the 21st century (from the 19th where it resides currently), though in saying that the election is more exciting than certain elections ive seen in europe. btw im picking maccain to beat clinton, personally ild like barak in but its not gonna happen.
07 february 2008
those bastards at fonterra are raping the nz public, a couple of months ago butter was $2.00 a pack now its ~$3.50->$4.00, a similar story with all dairy products. these are basic food items yet the price has near doubled within 3 months, (the govenrment is weak in allowing this to happen as well, they should step in and break up the fonterra monopoly, fonterra though is the darling of the nz economy thus theyre afraid to do tough with them.
heres why (2006 figures) nz is the largest diary exporter in the world
milk - nz 676k tonnes, europe 464k ie nz exports more than the whole of europe combined!!!
butter - nz 288k, europe 270k
cheese - nz 285k, europe 568k
ive heard of individual farmers making 4million dollars profit last year!!! which is more than most of the highest paid CEOs in nz earn.
03 january 2008
nothing outstanding watching this month, hopefully not a foretelling for the year
the vanishing 7 acuatly quite a good remake of a dutch horror film
to the devil a daughter 5 christopher lee stars in this the last hammer horror, also nastassja kinski's first film
last action hero 8 doesnt get the respect that this film deserves, up with terminator2 its arnies best work
the final conflict (omen 3) 4 the ending sux big time
eastern condors 6 a full out action film from sammo, no comedy unfortunatly
shaolin si (the shaolin temple) 7 jet li's first film, standard story but some great kung fu
the exorcism of emily rose 7 theres been a couple of excorcisms in nz recently, one woman died
terminator 2 8 wasnt as goods as i remembered, some of the writing/plot wasnt to good, still a great action film though
intolerable cruelty 7 coen bros film, they do set a high standard not one of their better ones mind
omen iv (the awakening) 2 some of the least fitting music in a film, the main guy reminded me of bruce campbell for some reason, is there gonna be an omen5 based on the current series ratings 9->5->4->2
prime suspect 3 7 some good acting
midsomer murders – death in disguise 4 not one of the better episodes, btw anyone notice that the kid that pushed the guy down the staris (+ broke his neck) got let off scott free, barneby guilty of perverting course of justice
Jie zi zhan shi (the scorpion king) 4 average HK kid gets beatenup + trains to be a fung fu master films
prime suspect 4 – the lost child 6 predictable twist
the marsh 5 whats with this horror film fashion of little girls with long hair obscuringr their faces must be the 5th film ive seen with it in, i wanted to like it (they obviously tried with it) but found it oddly boring
urban legend 6 sterotypical american teenage horror film, quite well made though apart from the bad ending
prime suspect 4 – inner circles 7 better than the first one in this series
prime suspect 4 – scent of darkness 7 the best of the 4th series
midsomer murders – deaths shadow 6 predictable whodone it but a reasonable watch
midsomer murders – stranglers wood 5 i should of guessed this one
rocky 3 7 perhaps the best in the rocky films, this or the second (hey when youve got mr t + hulk hogan playing how can u lose)
incubus 2 a huge groan when i see the kids by the crashed car, so convincing, man 10mins in + it has all the hallmarks of a terrible chessy horror, ild love to take part in a film like this, so bad its good, though this seems to be so bad its just bad, why on earth they didnt kill the guy in the tank is beyond anyone
cape fear (1962) 5 pretty strong stuff for 1962, the remake was better mainly cause its from ~30 years latter
a streetcar named desire 3 yawn, brando was reasonable love his voice its like beckhams after hes been kicked in the nuts, vivian leigh got the oscar for this terrible terrible performance
cursed 4 of all the monster horror genres, WRT film quality werewolfs have to be at the bottom, so much potentual in the theme, this cliched film by the master of horror wes craven is actually quite good
orange county 7 staring the son of tom hanks, good american college roadtrip film. jack black steals the show as usual, im sure many actors dont wanna appear with him
vampires : the turning 2 a tom cruise lookalike stars in this ho hum adventure, bummer to look like that, though then again perhaps he only got the part cause of the looks. also a total ecclipse of 17mins seems a bit long i thought its maximum 7:45-9:00 (though i think first figure)
species 2 4 wtf a 10day sexual curfue, reasonable film though if your expectations aint to high
rocky balboa 7 went to much of the heartstrings tugging flashback path, but still good, sly is perhaps the most underrated actor ever, hes won the most razzies for some reason, i think its cause he dont speak to good (rocky voice) but hey stephen hawkings dont walk to good.

08 feburary 2008
saw the solar eclipse yesterday, most ppl wouldnt of noticed, hell i wouldnt of either if i didnt know it was happening, total eclipses are the deal, i saw the one in 1999, apparently the most watched single event in humanitys history a truly magical experience, just looked up the next total eclipse visable from here in nelson is 12th may 2431, the previous was 1885, so affirmation theyre events you need to seek out, the best one of this century occurs next year in china.
10 feburary 2008
how about performance based politicians, eg their saleries are based on double the average persons wage (though the median instead of average is prolly a fairer measurement), of course theres some huge downsides like the possible neglection of basic rights, health care, roading etc
13 feburary 2008
listening to brahms first string quartet at the present, perosnally its the best of his 3 string quartets, his first of his four symphonies as well as his first piano concerto (from the 2) are the best as well contrast this with most composers whose later works usually shine.
23 feburary 2008
my sort of bet, how can i lose? well techincally i suppose theres about 1% chance of losing if they draw the match

25 feburary 2008
heres a emperor gum Caterpillar, note the wikis wrong as we're in the south island, the right photo is a comparisson of the shit size of the 1stage Caterpillar comparred with the 5th stage Caterpillar

05 march 2008
actually checked out in the advent of a draw in one day cricket then the average gets payed back, anyways shit george bush jr sure has aged over the last years he looks like a decrepit old fart now
08 march 2008
I hope its not an indication of how my mind works but I reckon the number 42 looks slightly like someone performing fellatio on another person. The question to the meaning of life is what is 6*9. Both are obviousily linked, now in a 69 both party's benefit but with a 42 theres only the one benefactor, ie someones gonna end up screwed.
08 march 2008
number one on my movie list of must watch is Janghwa, Hongryeon
08 march 2008
number one thing to do before i die, is walk on another planet, esp one outside this solar system, this is part of the reason i love the states, theyre the only major power which gives me a chance to realise this
12 march 2008
the ultimate loveabsolutly brilliantly cut, being split in two had me in tears, harder, for the first time in life i was happy ...
13 march 2008
asster, instead of assert would have to be my number one typo, im not in favour of auto correct as it doesnt teach you to correct your own mistakes.
13 march 2008
Ive just realised why text usually looks better under linux desktops, windows doesnt seem to do font kerning with the fonts, gnome etc does, sheeesh a multi billion dollar company cant even get this right
15 march 2008
listening to mahlers 3rd for the first time in years, way to long + full of crap (same with the 2nd), being the philistine i am, what he should of done was stick the dramatic first movement of the 2nd, onto the majestic finale of the 3rd, i reckon the resulting bastard child would be one of the 10 most played symphonies today.
mahlers 3rd can be gotten here, (bummer about the glaring mistake on the timpani at the end), this site has about the best collection of classical recordings on the internet, unfortunatly i already know every single piece well, companion orchestra
16 march 2008
looking at the bbc website cricket today '"Windy Wellington is certainly living up to its name today - it's blowing a gale out there today and it is very, very cloudy."' just measured its 126km away from where i am at present, where theres not a single cloud in the sky + just a gentle zephyr (duft), nz is crazy in that reguard, i remember living in central otago which was technically a desert < 250mm rain a year, whilst down the road 150 kilometers km away there dense rainforest >8000mm rain a year this(love the frost in the photo, similar to the north island with the desert road often getting closed in winter, due to snow) is 110km away from this(google earth)
16 march 2008
didnt watch much films last month, just a few tv progs on dvd which i wont note, actually the whole month was a disaster filmwise
babel 5 not as smart as ppl think it is, tenuous connection with a couple of stories as well, not Iραrritu's best work
the waimate conspiracy 4 better than the 1.8 rating on IMDB which is close to the lowest ive seen, pretty flimsy film though
hammet 5 good intentions but doesnt reach the mark
bridge to tabitha 5 overrated but one of the better disney films, one thing though u stick the dvd in u get a message (this dvd is equiped with a quickplay feature enabling youto watch the film quicker),the thing is this message takes 10secs to play (+ u cant skip it)
jack frost 4 the premise is embarassingly terrible but in reality the actual film aint to bad
species 3 2 straight to video thats lost all links to the original (which wasnt that great to start with), one good scene though when the guys litterally got a hole through his head + the other guy looks through it saying something like, dave u ok?
cry wolf 7 jon bon jovi reminded me of john carmack for some reason in this film , actually quite a good suspense film (not really a horror) esp when u consider its an american teenage college flick
black sheep 5 should have been much better when u consider the material, intention was well meant but not pulled off
sunshine 6 pretty weak, its been years since the last decent sci-fi film
Gwoemul (the host) 7 ive been wanting to watch this for a while, thus to stumble upon it was a bonus, didnt live up to the hype
mr in-between 7 the garage scene (25mins) before i realized ild seen this before, donno why since its a great film. oddly only 309 ppl have rated this, which means its pretty obscure for an english film(why have i seen it twice then?), with a soundtrack with lou reed, nick cave, bowie how can u lose, the best UK gangsta film of the last 10years (richie eat ya heart out), backadderesk in places
Doublure, La (the valet) 6 he has gone downhill since the idiot, reasonable watch though to bide the time
the big white 5 obviously koen bros influenced but not up to their quality

16 march 2008
i have to say ive always been a supported of the english sports teams, dont know why this is, perhaps cause the majority of ppl aint + are against them, but i think its also due to the fact they often cock it up, a team that wins often is boring,
16 march 2008
bowie has to be the second greatest ever lyricist (after roger waters), they feel like just random words thrown together, but they land in the right places, that cant be mere chance, is their a better example than the first2 songs on ziggy
--five years--
Pushing thru the market square, so many mothers sighing
News had just come over, we had five years left to cry in
News guy wept and told us, earth was really dying
Cried so much his face was wet, then I knew he was not lying
I heard telephones, opera house, favourite melodies
I saw boys, toys electric irons and T.V.'s
My brain hurt like a warehouse, it had no room to spare
I had to cram so many things to store everything in there
And all the fat-skinny people, and all the tall-short people
And all the nobody people, and all the somebody people
I never thought I'd need so many people

A girl my age went off her head, hit some tiny children
If the black hadn't a-pulled her off, I think she would have killed them
A soldier with a broken arm, fixed his stare to the wheels of a Cadillac // i thinks its. i saw you with a broken arm a fixed stare ...
A cop knelt and kissed the feet of a priest, and a queer threw up at the sight of that

I think I saw you in an ice-cream parlour, drinking milk shakes cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine, don't think
you knew you were in this song
And it was cold and it rained so I felt like an actor
And I thought of Ma and I wanted to get back there
Your face, your race, the way that you talk
I kiss you, you're beautiful, I want you to walk

We've got five years, stuck on my eyes
Five years, what a surprise

---stone love---
Stone love - she kneels before the grave
A brave son - who gave his life
to save the slogans
That hovers between the headstone and her eyes
For they penetrate her grieving

New love - a boy and girl are talking
New words - that only they can share in
New words - a love so strong it tears their hearts

To sleep - through the fleeting hours of morning

[CHORUS]
Love is careless in its choosing
Sweeping over cross a baby
Love descends on those defenceless
Idiot love will spark the fusion
Inspirations have I none
Just to touch the flaming dove
All I have is my love of love
And love is not loving

Soul love - the priest that tastes the word and
Told of love - and how my God on high is
All love - though reaching up my loneliness
evolves
By the blindness that surrounds him

[CHORUS]
i met a girl in oz, many years ago + 'five years' was her favorite song at the time i shrugged it off but now im curious. i love his accent during 'A girl my age' brilliant, one thing im jealous of, i dont have a strong kiwi accent
20 march 2008
how can i lose :), part 2, following on from the one day series
ive stuck an extra $30 on nz (paying $4.75 yesterday) so i will be picking up ~$500 very soon. actually had a good run with the betting this year , ive picked all the rugby super14 results ive tried (except force vs crusaders but i wasnt 100% confident on that one),
theres nothing obvious this weekend, stormers are paying $3.40 though against the blues, the experts dont expect them to, but hey all the experts to a man picked the blues to win against the sharks, where it was ~85% chance they were gonna lose

22 march 2008
i enable depth of field (DOF) effects in my game + i go wow that looks great (looks more real/hides jaggies etc), bugger the 20% drop in FPS, after 1/2 hour i turn them off + its wow that looks great, everythings so clear,:) so man i dont know, maybe turn them on with alternate levels!
25 march 2008
when to motuara island yesterday + saw a tieke/saddleback for the first time

03 april 2008
i saw this a few days ago on the bbc site, if youre names george check here. i definitly think theres something in, does a name help detirmine a persons profession?
03 april 2008
pans labryinth would be the hilight of the month
lost in space (1998) 3 very bad for the first ½ hour but doe improve
murder most foul – miss marple (1964) 7 the best of the seriese, the last one made
murder she said – miss marple (1961) 6 the first of the miss marple films, Margaret not so forceful as in the later films, getting to grips with her character i expect
oyster farmer 5 ozzie love/humour film, worthwhile to watch if youre into flying doctors etc, not my scene though
haute tension (high tension) 7 extremely predictable twist, in fact i was saying to myself all through the film please dont let the obvious happen, very 70s splatter horror feel
murder at the gallops 5 the worst of the miss marple films
wilderness 6 took me a while to realise ild seen it before, enjoyablefilm with quite a bit of atmosphere (perhaps the most important ingredient of a horror film)
skeleton key 5 more suspense than horror, theres been quite a few atmospherically similar films of the states in the last 5 years
murder ahoy 5 Lionel Jeffries was especially overhammingly brilliant, margaret also of course, not a strong plot in this film
cannibal holocaust 7 a magical + haunting score, stlye reminds me of morricone, the greatest of all film composers, different film than i though + also much better not a horror per se
broken (2006) 3 wow talk about the first scene being a saw ripoff, bad acted + badlly filmed, was the woman meant to be good looking? true perhaps for an english girl she was but ultimately was
aguirre, wrath of god 6 i wanted to like it, style was great, but the whole thing taken as a whole was still hollow
the lady vanishes 6 not one of hitchcocks better films but oddly in IMDB top250 at the moment, oopps
curse of the goldern flower 6 quite good, gets a couple of points removed for the overt unnecessary use of color + style + also for the predictable story
collateral damage 4 a pretty stopid arnie vehicle where hes actually acting ok, the lady in the films lips have to have the most collagen ever recorded
Laberinto del fauno, El 9 i enjoyed this much better than devils backbone, the director is a smart cookie even though some of his films dont always come off theyre always worth watching
spirit trap 3 quite a good atmospheric horror, the brits have been having a bit of a renaissance in the horror field in the 2000s, the second part of the film wasnt so good though
remember the titans 4 a toothless feel good movie
about schmidt 3 extremely boring film
arthur and the invisibles 5 im starting to get sick of cgi films, they seem to follow the same well trodden paths
miss potter 7 the last ½ hour was a bit of a letdown the love story should have been realised bugger historic accuracy (just kidding)
wolf 5 good for a werewolf film but still this subject is still waiting for the film that should be made, peter jackson or the coen's would be ideal to realise it

the guy in china who suggested hosting the olympic games is prolly stuck in a dungeon somewhere now, theyve spent billions of dollars for what?, lots of bad press. wow thats a bargain, it must rank up there with bush juniors decision to invade iraq, but ... but ... honest it was a good idea at the time :)

port of amsterdam (by brel) performed by bowie (he also done another brel sony 'my death' on the ziggy stardust film) is brilliant cause it showcases bowies performance voice, as well as being a jenet like story. another song on the bowie pinups album (see emily play) shit the drummer has done a perfect keith moon impression, i swear its the late great keith himself on drums

That's it. That is the tax cut.", um john u could of choosen a better analogy, as a 'family-sized block of cheese' is now an expensive luxury item, so much so thats theres beeen cartoons of thieves breaking into a house + ignoring the tv's etc + intead nicking the cheese. in saying that personally im hoping national gets in (they will only last a single term btw) it will be far more ammusing than another term of labour, who basically in this term have ran out of innovation.
