Introduction

The aim of the game is the same as numerous other shoot-em-ups. Trying to survive as long as possible, beating off the relentless waves of aliens whilst accumulating as much points as possible. There are two various gameplay modes either youre the defender trying to protect your planet/s from the onslaught of the invaders, or youre the attacker trying to destroy the aliens base/s. All aliens must be destroyed before you can advance to the next level.

Weapons and powerups can be gained by collecting various chemical elements to form a chemical compound eg 2 hydrogens and 1 oxygen, combine to form water. Once you can make a previously unmade compound a number will appear at the top left of the screen, press this number and the new weapon/powerup is now available. Here are some of the avaiable weapons, Im planning to include more than 30 in total including a shotgun (gotta have that), ditto railgun/rocketlauncher, caneknife, agent orange
Bullets, the first weapon you start off with, not very fast or powerful Beam, Only has a limited range but will drain the health of anything that intersects its path Flamethrower, powerful weapon but only has a limited range, it also drains your fuel tanks
Lazer, fast and semi powerful lazer beam Missiles, self guided missiles will head to the nearest alien, they only have a limited range, but cause damage over an area when they explode thus can destroy multiple aliens at once Penetrator, slow firing beam weapon that lasts for half a second, during that time all objects in its path lose health
Railgun, slow to reload but delivers a super high velocity projectile that will kill nearly any alien istantly, only effects aliens
Chemical Elements (selected)
Helium, a noble gas that increases the players health by 100
Neon, a noble gas that increases the score multiplyer by 1
Argon, a noble gas that increases the number of player smartbombs by 1
